About The Author
I was born in California and raised in Amarillo, Texas, the middle child of three girls. My childhood was shaped by instability and hardship, and it was only later in life that I began to understand the challenges my disabled mother faced as a young parent. In October 2024, I lost my estranged mother to suicide, a loss that has reshaped my understanding of grief, forgiveness, and the generational wounds carried quietly through families.
I became a mother young, married young, and was divorced young. I know what it feels like to be homeless and hungry. I know the ache of loving deeply only to be discarded, the weight of giving everything I had for the sake of love, and the devastation of ending up alone and broken. Like many in Generation X, I endured trauma, loss, and addiction. Through it all, I held tightly to one conviction: my children would have a different life than the one I survived.
That determination pushed my forward even though I stumbled. I became the first in my family to earn a GED and graduate from college. I spent time in a domestic violence shelter, a place I later returned to as an advocate, helping others find safety and hope. I went on to work with youth of all ages, teaching about bullying, sexual harassment, rape, and suicide prevention. Today, I assist Texans by connecting them with the resources they need to become self-sufficient. My work reflects my lifelong commitment to helping people rebuild their lives.
I live with PTSD, a reality that shapes my compassion, my resilience, and my writing. I believe deeply in the human capacity to heal. I believe people can recover, that mistakes do not define us, and that even the most painful chapters can shape us into stronger and wiser versions of ourselves.
Writing became my way of giving voices to the stories that often go unheard. I write for the men and women who slipped through the cracks, especially those from my own generation. Through emotional, character-driven romance, suspense, and horror, I explore themes of trauma, resilience, second chances, and the courage it takes to keep moving forward. My debut novel, Unseen, reflects the heart of her mission: to show that healing is possible, love is still worth believing in, and no one is too broken to begin again.
When I am not writing, I enjoy reading, dancing, and spending time at the beach with my service dog, Jax, a two-year-old in a fur coat with a personality that brings laughter to every room he is in. I find inspiration in the moon and the stars, both reminding me that even in darkness there is always light.
I continue to learn, grow, and write stories that honor the lives of those who were never given the chance to be fully seen. My work is a testament to survival, hope, and the belief that every person deserves a love story, including you!
